The first thing we are going to need to do in order to craft a repair bench is unlock it first! This is done with technology points in the technology menu. You will need to level your character up to level 2 in order to craft one of these repair benches. Don’t worry, that’s pretty easy! Almost everything you do in Palworld nets you experience and if you aren’t level 2 already, just go around collecting items of the ground or punching trees until you are!

To unlock the ability to make a repair bench, follow these steps:

  1. Reach Level 2
  2. Open up the Technology Menu using the T key binding. (Alternatively open the menu and scroll to technology)
  3. Double click the Repair Bench structure to learn this technology

Now that we have a Repair Bench unlocked, we can build one in our base! You will just need 10 wood and 10 stone for this.

Wood can be found by picking sticks up off the ground or by damaging trees. Stone can be found on the ground or acquired by hitting certain rock piles with a pickaxe. Once you have 10 of each follow these steps:

  1. Head to your base, (or anywhere really) and press the B key to open the build menu.
  2. Use the 1 and 3 keys to move to the Production tab.
  3. Move your mouse over the Repair Bench and use the left-mouse button to select it
  4. Place the repair bench down wherever you wish

Now you have your very own repair bench and can start to repair your items there!

How to Use the Repair Bench in Palworld

Now that we have a repair bench we can repair our items! To do this, move over to the repair bench and look at it. When you are standing next to it, you can use the F key to interact with the repair bench and open up the repair menu. Here, you can see three different sections.

On the left is the items that can be repaired. Here you can see the items you currently have equipped which can be changed from your inventory screen. You can select the item you wish to repair from here.

In the middle you have the items currently in your inventory. You can’t interact with any of the items here in the middle. Along with your inventory items, if you are using the Repair Bench within your base’s boundaries, you will also have access to any materials that are stored within the storage boxes at the base.

Once you have selected an item to repair, on the right side of the menu, you can see how many materials you will need to use in order to repair it. If you have all of the required materials, you can use the blue button at the bottom right of the menu to repair the items back to it’s full durability!
