The edge of the map or world is the point in which there is nothing else. If you sail to the edge of the map once you start to get close to the edge the current will take the player over the edge. The longship is not strong enough to sail back towards the center of the map once you pass a certain point.
As all sea crafts in the game have sails, having the wind behind you will mean you will naturally be able to use the wind to move faster. But does the wind carry the players scent and thus affect hunting? Can deer smell you if you are upwind? We take a look.
The short answer is no. Opening up a Valheim server in a country will not mean that players from other regions are excluded from joining. I can personally vouch for this as I have played, from Germany with a friend who was hosting their own server in Australia.
You can use the ‘,'(comma) and ‘.’ (full stop) keys on your keyboard to zoom the minimap in and out as you see fit. The comma key will zoom the map out giving you a wider view and the full stop key will bring your viewpoint back in.

Once you have built the forge in a place where it can be used you will be able to interact with the forge and use it. The forge covers pretty much every part of the players journey in Valheim and will be used for the entire game. You can use the forge to craft weapons, armors and items, to repair items that you created at the forge and build certain objects.
There are 2 main ways that you can run faster in Valheim and a few different ways to travel faster in general. You can sprint by holding down the Left Shift key. By training your Run skill you will be able to sprint faster and faster as you gain more levels in the skill. We will go over some of the ways that you can move and explore faster in Valheim in depth below.
To change the slider, grab the yellow dot with the mouse and drag your mouse left or right to change the amount of that item you are going to stack. Left being the lowest amount and right being the full stack. Once you are happy with the amount of the item you want to split press the OK button on the bottom right of the UI.
