How to Get Clay
Getting clay in Cryofall is a pretty straightforward process. First, you are going to have to find a lump of clay on the ground somewhere. In Cryofall, you can find clay randomly scattered throughout the world. Check the image below to see what a lump of clay looks like in the game. Once you have found this clay, you are ready to go to work.
The best tool that you ca use to harvest clay is the pickaxe. Even using a stone pickaxe is better than a lot of other different tools. You cannot harvest clay with your hands. Equip your pickaxe by dragging it into one of the numbered slots in the bottom of your inventory. This is known as the quickbar. Now, either press the corresponding number to equip the tool, or simply left-click it. You have now equipped your pickaxe and are ready to harvest some clay! Walk over to the lump of clay and hold the left mouse button. You will start scratching away at the clay and start earning clay into your inventory.
Check the bottom right of your screen. You should see small amount of clay being added to your inventory as you work.
Where to Find Clay in Cryofall? Best Location
There are certain areas in Cryofall where you will be able to find a lot of clay. Cryofall is split into a lot of different biomes. These are different sections of the world that have different flora, fauna and looks. For example, there is a spawp area and a desert area known as the barren. Some locations in the game have a lot of clay scattered around and some will have none at all. You can find a lot of clay by finding Clay pits around the world of Cryofall.
These clay pits are areas which are abundant in clay deposits. As you can see in the image above, clay pits have reddish brown dirt and a bunch of different small clay deposits around. This is the best place to come to if you are need of a large supply of clay in your game. You can see these clay pits as reddish brown small patches on your map. They appear as smaller areas in many of the game map’s larger biomes.
What is Clay Used For in Cryofall?
The main use of clay would be in construction. Clay is used to make cement in Cryofall. Cement is used in some of the mid-game constructions. To create stone walls and floors the player will need to accumulate both stone and clay. If you plan on building a large stone structure in Cryofall you are going to need to find a lot of clay.
