Sulfur is one of the resources that you are able to collect in Cryofall. It is used in many different early and mid game recipes. Even though it may be relatively simple to collect, I will show you the best places on the map to get sulfur. I will also talk a little about what you can do with sulfur.
What is Sulfur?
Sulfur is one of the materials in Cryofall. It is used mainly in crafting. When you mine pure sulfur the item you will receive is in powdered form. The in-game description for Sulfur powder is “Pure sulfur in powdered form.” 100 units of sulfur create a full stack. Any more sulfur powder requires an open inventory space.
Sulfur is the main ingredient in sulfuric acid. If the player combines a bottle of water and 5 units of sulfur powder they can create this acid. Sulfur is also useful for creating rubber. As it is a base for a lot of other ingredients, you should collect as much as you can when you see it.
How to Get Sulfur in Cryofall
Sulfur occurs naturally on the surface of Cryofall. Much like the other ores and minerals, sulfur occurs in large rocks. These rocks have to be mined by the player in order to get sulfur powder in their inventory. Although you may h=just find the sulfur rock around the forest there are specific places on the map that will spawn more sulfur than most. This is called a rocky mountains biome.
These areas are raised from the ground and have multiple different rocks inside the area. You can see a small rock cliff surrounding the rocky mountain area. You can check this guide to the Cryofall map to find a rocky mountains area near you. Once you have made it to a rocky mountains you will see a bunch of different strange looking rocks. We are looking for the rock with yellow on top of it as shown in the image above. Take your pickaxe to this rock and hold down the left-mouse button to mine it. You will see sulfur powder and stones enter your inventory.
Crafting With Sulfur Powder
As aforementioned there are many different reasons to mine sulfur. The main use of sulfur is to make sulfuric acid at the Chemical laboratory. One of the first power storage modules you can craft is made in part with sulfuric acid. Once you have researched power storage you can find it in the build menu.
