To lock your doors and protect your Valheim base you will need to build an object known as a ward. This ward will lock all doors that the player has placed within a certain radius.

To heal one of your wolves when they get injured, simply throw down a piece of raw meat or neck tails near them. Once the wolf gets hungry, they will seek out this raw meat and upon consuming it, recover 20 hit points of health.

Hiding these elements will obviously make it harder to navigate around the map of Valheim. For some, this may provide an added challenge that they enjoy in the game. The only downside here is, with no visible indicators on your health on your character’s model, you will have absolutely no way of telling how much health or stamina you have left.

First make sure you are blocking and then move in a direction and press the button for jumping in. To do with on an xbox controller, hold the left trigger in to block and press the B button to roll in whatever direction you are moving with the left joystick.

Using this hard antler along with some other items at a workbench, the player is able to create a tool known as a pickaxe. This is the first pickaxe that the player will receive in the game.

As all sea crafts in the game have sails, having the wind behind you will mean you will naturally be able to use the wind to move faster. But does the wind carry the players scent and thus affect hunting? Can deer smell you if you are upwind? We take a look.

You can use the ‘,'(comma) and ‘.’ (full stop) keys on your keyboard to zoom the minimap in and out as you see fit. The comma key will zoom the map out giving you a wider view and the full stop key will bring your viewpoint back in.
